A Circle of Moonlight

A CIRCLE OF MOONLIGHT is my new book. It is a sequel to my 2020 novel, A CIRCLE OF FIRELIGHT. Both books are YA portal fantasies, but you don’t have to be a young adult to buy them and I hope you do.

A CIRCLE OF MOONLIGHT begins with Ashlyn Revere, a young college graduate who experienced severe injuries in a car accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury. Ashlyn is learning to walk and talk again in a New Jersey rehabilitation hospital, but she is frustrated with the slow pace of her progress. Her only escape is in her dreams, where she rules the Western Marches of Summervale, her personal fantasy kingdom.

Ashlyn’s sister, Penny Revere, is battling health issues of her own. Penny has been in and out of hospitals since the car accident that injured both her and Ashlyn, although Penny’s issues have been with her life-threatening battles with cystic fibrosis. She is isolated within her house, separated from her sister and the life she wants to lead–and faced with dealing with mounting anxiety from her parents about the double lung transplant that can change her life–or end it.

Jennifer Lamb is a senior at the University of North Carolina, where she has starred as a power forward on the women’s basketball team. Although she is relegated to the bench, she wants to make sure that her college basketball career ends on a high note.

After a tragic incident at Madison Square Garden, Penny is rushed to transplant surgery. In the realm of Summervale, Ashlyn has to rescue her sister from an unnamed threat–but finds herself fighting for her life. Can the sisters save each other?
